THE FARM

Lyckås Farm is secluded and quiet in Buskeröd village on the beautiful Kulla peninsula. It is still close to the central town of Höganäs (5 km) and the old fishing village Viken (3 km) with its fine beaches and the nature reserve Kullaberg (20 km) with its fantastic nature. In the surrounding area there are many good restaurants, fine golf courses, lots of culture, all kinds of shopping, not least Väla shopping center and the so continental Helsingborg (20 km) and proximity to Denmark.
Lyckås Farm has been in our family since 1919. There have been dairy cows, pigs and chickens, grown cabbage, fresh potatoes, sugar beets, autumn rape, cereals and peas. Organic farming is conducted here. In the yard there are tame sheep, cozy rabbits and exciting peasants cats that provide a lovely farm atmosphere.
Since 2002, the farm has changed a little in character, when we started renting guest accommodation. The farm's old boys' cottage became a guest cottage and this became the basis for today's Lyckås Gårds Guest accommodation. The old, fine gray stone figure from 1917 is completely rebuilt. There are now two large and comfortable apartments in the stable, the Blueberry place and the Smultron place. In addition, the lower floor of the stable, an animal clinic for small animals and a party room Salongen / Passagen. Upstairs, it has become a conference area with two well-equipped training rooms. All premises can be rented by companies as well as private individuals.
We have planted along Buskeröds village road, a half-walnut tree unique to Sweden. The plants originate from the farm's walnut tree, which has been designated Skåne's largest by the County Administrative Board's inventory. Our outdoor environment, with large green spaces, has also been enriched with a barbecue corner, outdoor jacuzzi and most recently with a new boules court.
In 2017, a neighboring property with a large garden was purchased. In the large white stone house, a complete renovation was done in 2018, to our largest guest accommodation, which is now rented under the name White Gooseberry Lodge.
In 2020, ground-based solar cells were installed. In a perfect south-facing position, they have started to produce a large part of our electricity consumption while the sheep keep nicely around the solar cells. In the same year, we got three charging stations for electric cars.
From autumn 2023 until winter 2024, the green half-timbered house/wooden house on the neighboring property dating back to the 1800s and which is angled with the white house has been completely rebuilt into a completely new practical and fantastic accommodation. This fifth house will start to be rented out in the spring of 2025 with the name Green Gooseberry Lodge.

HONORS PRIZE

Excerpt from Agricultural Business no. 11 2007
Engaged entrepreneurs When this year the jury decided to appoint a winner of the scholarship, three completely different activities and buildings were assessed. A riding facility, a family farm which is converted into a tourist facility and a farm environment with loose stables and newly built dryer and magazine. The jury's work was not easy ...
- All three nominated farms are run by people with great commitment and I am struck by how similar these entrepreneurs are. They want to create something lasting and that the houses they build should be beautiful and appropriate, ”says Roland Fransson, Editor of Agriculture's Business. And one more thing, they are very careful about the details, that little last thing that makes the difference! The three farms nominated in 2007 were:
Carl-Erik Ehrenkrona, Hulterstad Estate
Jan Brink, Tullstorps Farm, Hässleholm
Lars Norrman & Åse Roos, Lyckås Farm, Höganäs
